Typical battery life is 5 years. It displays temperature on a large-digit, high-contrast display with a safety zone visual alert when the temperature reading is above 46°F (8°C). A convenient built-in hanging clip can be used to hang the thermometer from a refrigerator rack or can also be swung down to use as a kick stand. Auto-Off Feature:
The RT615 includes a light sensor that powers the unit off when deprived of light. When used with refrigerators that power internal lights off when the door closes, the RT615 will turn off to save battery power. When the door opens and light is available to the unit, the RT615 will power on automatically displaying the current temperature.
